Compliance — Ethics and integrity in the metals industry
Compliance with global requirements is the basis for business behavior with integrity. To be a trustworthy partner to all Primetals Technologies stakeholders, we must explicitly articulate the rules that govern our actions. For this purpose, the company needs clear and binding principles of conduct that guide all employees in their day-to-day activities. These principles are defined in the MHI Group Global Code of Conduct of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
Our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery underline our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings.

Primetals Technologies is ISO 37001:2016 Anti–bribery management systems certificated
In July 2023, Primetals Technologies got from Quality Austria the award of the successful ISO 37001:2016 Anti-bribery management systems certification. This implementation is yet another important milestone for Primetals Technologies to increase trust among the company’s stakeholders – especially customers and suppliers.
It provides guidance and requirements for a management system designed to help an organization to prevent, detect, and respond to bribery and comply with anti-bribery laws and voluntary commitments applicable to its activities. In addition to the original scope of ISO 37001 for anti-bribery, Primetals Technologies has expanded the scope of certification to include the anti-trust program, where the company has also reached a high level of maturity in recent years. ISO 37001 can be used in all jurisdictions and is applicable to organizations in all sectors, including public, private, and not-for profit sectors.
Primetals Technologies commits to fight corruption and establish and nurture a culture of ethics and integrity.
Speak-up Hotline for Whistleblowing
In order to justify the trust placed in our company by customers, partners, shareholders, and employees, the integrity and transparency of our business processes is the top priority.
With the launch of the compliance whistleblower hotline “Speak up” Primetals Technologies has set up a secure way for reporting potential compliance violations.
The Speak-up Hotline is available for all employees in 19 languages as a telephone hotline and an Internet platform. Both contact methods are also available for external stakeholders around the globe.
All reports will be treated as confidential. Reports can also be made anonymously to the extent permitted by national regulations.
The hotline is managed by a third-party supplier. All data is maintained on secure servers in Germany.
Primetals Technologies internal whistleblowers are protected by special regulations that make good faith reports to the best of their knowledge. Intentional reporting of false information, however, is prohibited by law in many countries.
